Cut a piece of paper into an 8 inch (20.3 cm) by 12 inch (30.5 cm) rectangle.
Orient your paper, landscape style.
Attach a cracker snap (if using) to the top of the paper.
Lay a strip of double-sided tape along the top edge of your paper, or some glue
Use a strip of double sided tape to attach an empty toilet paper tube to the bottom centre of your paper.
To make the cracker body, roll the toilet paper tube as evenly and as tightly as you can towards the top of the paper to keep the paper smooth. When you get to the top edge, run your finger along the tape to seal it.
Tie one of the ends of the Christmas cracker shut.
Fill the Christmas cracker with your choice of goodies
