Easter events at The Piece Hall, 2020
Snakes & Ladders: April 6, 10.30am-3.30pm. Design your own snakes and ladders board game and help create large scale, outdoor courtyard games.
Decorated Chocolate Eggs: April 8, 11am & 2pm. Learn about the history of chocolate, do tasting, decorate a chocolate egg and a box to take it home in. £8 per child.
The Piece Hall Cricket Ball: April 8, 10am-6pm. The courtyard will be transformed into a cricket field for one day only, with fun zones and experts. Free.
3D Drawing with Sarah O’Boyle: April 10, 10.30am-12.30pm. Art workshop with resources such as foil, masking tape, wire, pipe cleaners, fabric, beads, clay, card and paper fasteners. Tickets available from theartworks.org.uk
Stories of Sculpture Interactive Tour: April 15, 11am & 2pm. Discover the stories behind Alice Irwin’s sculptures through an interactive walking tour around the Piece Hall and Dean Clough. Go on a journey with a mill owner, discover the conditions children worked in during the Victorian period and have a go at some of the art techniques. Free but booking essential.
People Play Artist-Led Workshop: April 17, 10.30am & 2pm. Join Alice Irwin – the artist behind ‘People Play’ – to learn what inspires her work. There will be drawing games and the chance to try print making. £3.
