Axe-A-Lot

Chicoccino

Play gym with both indoor and outdoor areas. There are a range of free craft activities on Wednesdays (during school holidays they run most days) and paid for activities such as build your own teddy bear workshops, pot painting, peg wooden animals, jewellery making, clay making and sword decorating.

Dare 2 Air Huddersfield

Huge inflatable theme park with eight different zones. Kids and adults alike can bounce and burn off energy on the drop slides, balance beams, freefall area and inflatable Wipeout zone.

Play dodgeball, basketball, volleyball, or just jump around all session – the choice is yours!

Open Fridays and weekends during Kirklees term time, and every day during school holidays, but check session and opening times before setting off. 9.45-10.45am session aimed at families with children aged 8 and under.

Diving Boards

Children must be at least 4 feet tall and be able to swim 20m confidently in deep water on front and back.

Electric Bowl

Tenpin bowling with ten lanes, a dining area, pool table and licensed bar. Automatic bumpers, electronic scoring and bowling ramps make sure all the family can have fun.

Glow in the dark bowling on Friday and Saturday nights.

Children’s and teen parties available all week, including one hour of bowling, party invites, unlimited juice, balloons, party bags, birthday badge and a hot food platter followed by ice cream.

Flying Saucers – Pottery Painting Cafe

Currently only offering paint at home kids – updated January 2021

Pottery painting café in Hebden Bridge. Choose from a plate, bowl, mug or even piggy bank, unicorn, fairy or dinosaur, decide how to paint it and sit and paint using our brushes or sponge stamps. And you can have a drink or snack whilst you create!

Hippopottery – mobile pottery painting

Hippopottery is a mobile paint your own pottery studio based in the Shibden Valley. Suitable for all ages, you can choose from a wide range of pottery pieces to paint and create gorgeous keepsakes. All pots, paints, brushes and stencils are supplied and pots are glazed, fired and returned within one week.

Hover Kart Mania

Huddersfield Splash Park

The kids will have tons of fun at Huddersfield Leisure Centre’s Splash Park. There are water features and slides for the youngsters and larger slides for older children and adults, with water buckets, water jets, a lazy river, a small fun pool and spa pool.

Strap on some skates and show off your skills at Playworld Huddersfield’s roller skating rink. It’s suitable for children aged four and up, but adult supervision is recommended for young and inexperienced skaters.

Tropical World – Leeds

This is a lovely tropical garden with plenty to keep kids entertained (particularly on a cold or rainy day as it is very warm in the tropical greenhouse!) .

There are reptiles, spiders and insects to see, as well as snakes and bats. The butterflies fly around freely and the Meer Cats are fantastic.

Admission (2017) is free for under 5’s, 5-15yrs is £3.00, Adults £6.00.
