Eating Out Calderdale

Ice Cream

Eating out with kids can sometimes be something of a challenge (understatement of the year!) There are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants in the Calderdale area which really do welcome children and families so I’ve compiled a list of them here.

These places are not all ‘exclusively’ for families or children but they have all shown thoughtful touches or great facilities (things like pushchair access, changing facilities, highchairs and so on)

At Calderdale Mumbler we are always looking to ‘spread the word’ if we find out about any little gems, so if you know of a pub, restaurant or café that should be included in this listing then please contact us here.

Featured Listing

Charlotte’s Ice Cream & Farm – Dewsbury

Jersey ice cream parlour with beautiful views over the Calder valley and lots of fun for the children.

Entry is free, and children can meet animals such as a herd of alpacas, two wallabies, peacocks, rare breed birds, a giant rabbit, goats, friendly donkeys and, of course, the Jersey cows.

There is also a giant inflatable, crazy golf course, adventure play area and the Charlotte’s Express to ride on.

Enjoy ice cream in the parlour or Cone Stop (next to the play area so no one has to stop their fun), fresh ground coffees, home made desserts and seasonal snacks.

British summer time opening: 10.30am-6pm daily. Winter opening: 10.30am-5pm daily.
