Spring into fun this Easter holiday at Stockeld Park as they open their gates for the Easter break with a jam-packed schedule of activities that the whole family can enjoy!

As it’s Spring, the days are getting longer and the sun is (hopefully) beginning to shine, so the ice rink will transform into a Roller Skating Rink, the Buccaneer Boats are back on the beautiful lake in the heart of the Enchanted Forest and the Pedal Go Karts are back for you to enjoy!

Some special and exclusive events this Easter at Stockeld Park include the brand new Wonka’s Easter Panto show, Stockeld’s Easter Farm, Lambs in the Paddock, Hatching Chicks and not to forget the famous giant Easter Egg Hunt that will have the whole family searching the beautiful parkland for!

Easter Bunnies, Eggs & Baskets – Ogden Water

Head to Ogden Water and make a rustic Easter Bunny out of wood  from the woodlands, and an Easter basket to collect things in on our seasonal scavenger hunt in the woods (with Easter Egg prizes).

Hop aboard the Kirklees Light Railway to meet the Easter Bunny aboard a steam train!

Easter Holidays at Square Chapel


April 7, 2020. 11.30am & 2.30pm

Being a slug is hard. Everyone thinks you’re disgusting. Slug and Caterpillar are starving, and the only leaf left in the garden is just out of reach. Slug thinks they should work together. Get the leaf, eat the leaf, play a game, be friends. Caterpillar has other ideas. Slugs are gross, they’re covered in slime and they have terrible taste in music.

Things get sticky! Enter the undergrowth to SQUISH, SQUELCH and PLAY your way through this hilarious, surreal show for 2-5 years and their families, told with a handful of words and lots of SLIME.

Hebden Bridge Duck Race

April 13, 2020

Annual Duck Race in Hebden Bridge on Easter Monday with children’s rides, charity stall and live music!

Organised by the Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge, around 10,000 ducks are launched into the river at the same time.

Tickets cost £1 each and are available on-line and from shops and pubs displaying the posters in Hebden Bridge.

There will also be a Business Duck race, starting before the main race at 3pm. Any organisation or individual can buy a green, red, or blue duck. £10 per duck.
