Trail Tuesdays and Thursdays:
Pick up a family trail from The Welcome Centre and explore The Piece Hall with Woolly the Sheep as your guide. Tuesday July 23-Thursday August 29. 10am-3pm. The Welcome Centre. £1 per trail.
Workshop Wednesdays:
- Wet Felted Pictures: Drop in at any time on July 24 to create a wet felted animal picture to take home. 10.30am-3pm. The Learning Studio. £3.
- High in The Sky Hot Air Balloon Making: Create a beautiful hot air balloon with local artist and crafter Kim Searle. Find out about Mrs Graham’s hot air balloon descent in The Piece Hall over 150 years ago! August 7. 10.30am, 12 noon and 2pm. The Learning Studio. £3. Booking essential.
- Build a Boat: Learn about the ships that transported cloth from Halifax across the world then create your own model boat and test it in The Piece Hall paddling pool. August 14. 10.30am-3pm. £3. Drop in.

Georgian Live Interpretation:
- Spinner: Catch our spinner roaming the courtyard to find out about the history of The Piece Hall and Halifax in Georgian times. Wednesday, July 24. 10.30am-3pm. Free.
- Merchant: Find our merchant in the courtyard to find out how cloth from The Piece Hall was transported around the world in Georgian times. Wednesday, August 14, 10.30am-3pm. Free.
